Why Travel Is So Dang Valuable

Every since I was little, each year my family would go on a trip to somewhere that we had never been before. It is something that as a little girl I didn't appreciate as much as I do now that I am older. With almost being 20 years old, I look back on all the many places I've been and can't thank my parents enough for the opportunities I've had. Although money can't buy you happiness, travel is the only thing you buy that can truly make you richer. There are so many things I’ve seen that I will never have the chance to again. Here are some reasons why I think it is so important to travel young.

ENCOURAGE UNIQUENESS
Travel is a one-of-kind experience that sets you apart from others and allows you to explore your passions. Instead of looking at a picture of a beautiful beach on Pinterest, save up your money and actually go there, see that view in person. Swim in the crystal clear waters yourself. Everyone has a different vision of what they want to do on vacation. This is the time to do whatever you want and see whatever you've dreamed of seeing.

SELF DISCOVERY
You'll not only learn a lot about the place you visit but you'll also learn a lot about yourself. What makes you happy, what kind of day to day life you like to live, and what kind of person you are. This is why this is so important for young people to travel because this is the prime time that you are finding out what kind of person you're becoming.

THE FOOD
It isn't my main reason to travel but it's a big part of it. Food is so different all over the world. Plus, you get to bring back recipes that will be mightily impressive to everyone you know.

AN INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE
You can't put a price tag on pushing your limits and creating memories you'll cherish forever. Make the ultimate investment when you're young so you'll obtain its benefits for lifetime.

YOU CAN DO IT NOW
Remember when you were young and you couldn't wait to grow up? Well you're grown up. You have the knowledge and the responsibility. After 18+ years of being told what to do (and what not to do), travel let's you try new things.

LASTLY, GO!
Traveling is important because once you start it's hard to get the travel bug out of your system. Life is short so go out and travel! See the world! Even if it's just an afternoon away from your regular place and schedule, getting away for a bit can do wonders.

As usual, Kenzie
